With summer right around the corner, you better start making some plans to attend some concerts or movies up at Red Rocks. There are some amazing shows at Red Rocks this summer, and you can scroll down to some of the highlights. It’s hard to get much closer to Red Rocks than living in Solterra – you can just open your windows and hear the shows. In less than 10 minutes you can be sitting in the amphitheater soaking in some good music. What’s the best way to experience Red Rocks? Here are my Red Rocks tips and tricks:
- Red Rocks is the best place to see a concert in the world. Period.
- Red Rocks park is open to the public from one hour before sunrise to one-hour after Sunset every day of the year. Get there early!
- Entry 4 is the best in my opinion.
- Tailgating is permitted before shows, but no alcohol is allowed.
- Coolers and food are allowed as long as they are no bigger than 10″ long x 7″ wide x 7″ high or smaller.
- Alcohol is no bueno – but they have bars.
- Beverage service includes soft drinks, beer, lemonade margaritas and cocktails.
- Bring a blanket it can get chilly.
- No reentry is permitted.
- remember where you parked or get ready for a long hike back.
- Bring a poncho or trash bag, thunderstorms can come without warning.
- Wear good walking/hiking shoes.
- Don’t want to wait forever to get home? Park in Morrison and ride your bikes to the park.
- if you don’t like the smell of pot, Red Rocks may not be enjoyable.
- Sealed nonalcoholic drinks less Than 32 oz are allowed. Hint, hint 😉
